How to highlight text to copy

Post by dskirk »

I am running windows 10 home 64-bit and just installed Softmaker 2021. I had previously used it on my old laptop with windows 10 pro 64-bit with no problems , but with new laptop, when I drag mouse across text to highlight it, there is no highlighting. The text is actually copied, but without highlighting, I'm never sure. Highlighting works with email and I even loaded Libreoffice to compare and highlighing works there - but not in Textmaker. Any tips on fixing this will be appreciated. I do not want to use Windows high contrast as that changes too much of the looks, and highlighting works for other apps. Thanks for suggestions.

Problem SOLVED. The new laptop has AMD RADEON graphics and the default Windows drivers didn't adjust the display properly. I located and installed the Radeon graphics software and all works well. This was first PC of mine that did not use Intel, but I'm very pleased now with the clarity.
