I am having a very difficult time with hyphens. I am coming from Microsoft 365. I have found the Options, Language, Hyphenation setting and I have found the Layout, Paragraph, Hyphenation setting. But after I save a document and re-open it, the hyphens are back. I have now found a thread on 2018 version that I should edit my normal.tmvx file, and that this should solve my issue for future documents.
But I have SO many templates and forms that are frequently used …if I only had to save them each once that would even be do-able.

UPDATE- I did submit a ticket and got a quick response about the norm.tmvx file. 
After doing that I still had some issue with existing documents, but it seems I can get new settings to stick on documented individually by doing Select All then going to layout, Paragraph tab and adjusting the hyphen settings for paragraph and document to off
