The hidden folders

Post by merinos » Tue May 26, 2020 2:19 pm

Hello,

Something a little confusing.

When opening or saving a file, the hidden folders (under Linux, the name starts with a dot) are displayed.

Normally, we should not see them by default.

Thanks for sharing the screenshots. Please disable the option "Show Hidden Files and folders" from ribbon command File | Options | System > Uncheck the option "Show Hidden Files and folders" > OK.

@merinos

If you are using KDE Plasma, as an alternative to the file selector built in SoftMaker Office, you can modify the command to launch the application like this for TextMaker (idem for PlanMaker and Presentations):

XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=GNOME /usr/bin/textmaker21 %F

This will give you the Gnome file picker, but I'd rather have the KDE one.

If you want switch from/to the built in file selector, go to options window -> Appearance tab and check/uncheck the option "Use system file dialogs" at your convenience (the check box is grayed by default for KDE).
