Can't Start FlexiPDF 2019 - mfc140u.dll Not Found - SOLVED

Hello,

I can no longer open FlexiPDF 2019, v2.07 (latest download). I receive the error message: "The code execution cannot be processed because mfc140u.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

I tried reinstalling => same error.
I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling => same error.

I've read the issue might be related to Microsoft Visual C++
I currently have "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable" for x86 and x64 installed.
Running Windows 10 Home, Version 2004, OS Build 19041.388, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2202.130.0

I do find a copy of mfc140u.dll in C:\Windows\System32
Looking at Properties/Details, It is version 14.22.27821.0 dated 6/20/2019 7:05pm, part of Microsoft Visual Studio 2017

Tried copying mfc140u.dll to FlexiPDF 2019 folder and got different error:
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

Then copied mfc140.dll to FlexiPDF 2019 folder and got different error:
"The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140u.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program my fix this problem."

Thanks for reporting this problem. Please don't paste that file in these folders manually. You can try these steps one by one:

1. Download and paste the following file in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder and check if that resolves your problem.

2. If the above step doesn't work. Please update your Windows completely.

3. If the above step doesn't work. Please uninstall "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable" for x86 and x64 and reinstall them after the system restart.

Copying the mfc140u.dll file to which you sent me a link and copying it to C:\Windows\SysWow64 seems to have resolved the issue. I think the issue started after installing the latest updates through Windows Update.
