SOLVED: What does the UNDO button undo?

On the left side of the T-button there is a button that looks like an Undo-button. But what does it undo? I have to close the file I am working on in order to start again and re-do what I was doing. The button does not seem to undo anything. Perhaps it has another function?

This is the Rotate tool. It allows to rotate objects freely in steps of single degrees.

Thanks. I am setting functions I probably won't use, such as "rotate" and "side-by-side comparison", aside for the time being. Undo, however, is something I would like to be able to do, so I don't have to quit and re-open a file every time I make a mistake. Is it possible to undo steps that need to be redone, i.e. take a step back?

Yes, you can perform undo by using shortcut key combination Ctrl+Z or you can use Menu Edit > Undo.

Undo operation is not reversible and can't be undone.
