I'm sure I could just delete the softmaker freeoffice folder from the applications folder but the install process was through a package installer so it presumably leaves bits and bobs laying around the system besides just the .app files. There doesn't seem to have been an uninstaller with the download as far as I can tell, and I just re-downloaded it today to see if there had been one and I just deleted it at some stage, but it's just the installer package which appears not to have an uninstall option.
You can simply drag the app from the Applications folder to the Trash (at the end of the Dock) and FreeOffice will be removed from your macOS.
