Bold text (Solved)

Post by Gerson » Tue Jul 23, 2019 2:38 pm

Good day.
Why when opening a .doc or .docx, the text that comes in bold is not marked? Although in the toolbar if it indicates that it is bold in the text it is not appreciated, it looks like normal.

Hi, could you please send us the file and font where this issue is happening?

I enclose a test text that I copied from a book. There although I choose in some paragraphs bold text, it does not differ from normal text, if I open it with WPS, LibreOffice or MS_Office if it distinguishes bold from normal.

As far as I can see, there is no bold version of Linux Libertine Display.

While SoftMaker Office can slant fonts to make fake italics, it cannot make them thicker to make fake bolds. In any case, neither fake italics nor fake bolds look good.

Please choose a font that has a real bold style.

But that's the source I use in GNU / Linux and in my writings, it's called Linux Libertine Display and in WPS, Libreoffice and MS Office is perfect, I tried Times Roman and Calibri, and if they look bold.
What similar typeface works in FreeOffice do you recommend then?

Ready, I solved it, I downloaded all the sources and installed them.
