Insert Hyperlink not working

When i try to enter a hyperlink in TextMaker, the link does not appear

$ inxi -S

1. Select some text
2. Invoke Insert=>Hyperlink
3. Enter the destination for the link (e.g. www.softmaker.com)
4- Press "OK"
=> Now the selected text contains the hyperlink.
