Reading OpenOffice (ODT) files?

Post by wbrells » Wed May 30, 2018 7:31 pm

The documentation (via F1) for the free version of TextMaker mentions that OpenOffice Writer files (ODT) can be read (and apparently written). However, I don't see any option to read or write such ODT files and I wondered if that feature is only available in the paid version of TextMaker?

Thanks, Wayne

Yes you can open odt files, edit them and then save in odt file format with the paid version of TextMaker 2018.

It seems that the FREE version of Textmaker is able to read odt files which are - in my test case anyway - automatically converted to DOCX format (which is my default save format). This is very helpful since I want to get away from OpenOffice and odt files! - Wayne
