High Contrast Mode

Post by andreasrot » Sat Sep 07, 2019 8:17 pm

I desperately need a high contrast mode in Textmaker, Planmaker and Presentations (free version). In essence a "white on black" mode (although some other colours are off course acceptable), not just a dark theme for the menus. Example: in Textmaker the pages must be "white on black". I have searched all documentation, but cannot find what I need.

Hi, unfortunately we currently don't offer a high contrast mode. I'll discuss it it the product manager.

If you still use Windows 7, this operating system offers high-contrast modes.

I have a similar complaint... I can get the menus, workspace, and icons to look good, but having a white background on the document itself is too hard on my eyes. And no, SM does not respect Windows dark mode for that. (And in any case, I don't want white print on black; I want black print on grey.)

I can set the document color to something more restful (I use a medium grey) but this is not a good general solution. It would be much better if we could set document display color globally WITHOUT affecting paper color.

You can do this by simply changing the page background-color using ribbon command Layout | Background | Select Solid color> Select desired color.

Thanks
