Disk full or inaccessible

I'm getting a "Error saving file. Disk full or inaccessible" using Textmaker. I'm using the free version with Windows 10 and there's plenty of storage on the disc. Can someone please advise. I had to rename my file but should I have to do this?

Please make sure you have full write permissions on the folder in which you are saving the files.

You can also try to disable backup feature which you can do by clicking ribbon command File | Options | Tab Files | Under Saving, disable "Create backup Files".
