Hidden table lines on pdf

Post by sebatbg »

Hi there,

I've got FreeOffice but writing here because the same result is with normal trial version.

Here's the point.
1:Create new document and insert table 3x3
2:Merge all rows in the left column.
3:In the resulting cell use shading and use black color.
4:Select all table and select borders -> None
5:Generate pdf file and check it.

You should see a small white lines on the black cell. How its possible if the rows were merged?
Is there away to make it pure black on pdf?
Or maybe I'm missing something?

Best Regards,

I was able to reproduce the issue you describe on Ubunto's document viewer.
However, if I open the file in Windows Adobe Reader it displays properly.

What happens is the following:
TextMaker generates multiple black rectangles. The white lines you see are where two of the rectangles meet. They are exactly aligned. Some PDF viewers interpret that 0 spacing between them differently and display an ultra-thin line.
If you zoom in, the lines don't increase thickness and if you print the PDF, the lines won't appear.
