Bangla keyboard (Avro) giving wrong sequence of letters

Post by jahirju30 »

Hi Everyone,
I am trying FreeOffice on my Linux Mint 19.1 for the first time, and I like it very much!

But, when I am typing Bangla/Bengali using Avro (https://github.com/maateen/avro/releases), I get wrong sequences of the letter symbols. In Bangla, some vowel symbols (shortened ones) are printed before the consonant even though the vowel symbol is typed after the consonant symbol. For example, when type "NE" in Avro, it gives prints the sequence "EN" (I am using English letters here for simplicity). This is exactly what I cannot achieve in OpenOffice; it prints "NE", not "EN". Avro works fine in LibreOffice, so I think the issue is not with Avro itself; it might be a matter of language support in OpenOffice.

I would appreciate any help!

Thanks.

Apology, a question on the same issue was answered earlier: https://forum.softmaker.com/viewtopic.php?f=305&t=18326

I wish support for Bangla script was added soon! I really miss OpenOffice!!! :-(
