Suggestion: Allow font-setting for printing

Post by Michael Uplawski »

Good afternoon, all.

This topic will not interest everybody. I seldom need spreadsheet data printed out on paper. But as often as I really print them, I have to tell me afterwards: “Oh dummy! Once again, you forgot to replace the non-serif font against something more readable (on paper).

To avoid this kind of trouble, whenever I have the choice I use something like an in-between font, which looks cool on paper and is still readable on screen. But I cannot always impose my own font-settings.

The suggestion is to enrich the print-dialogs with a font-selector, which replaces the set fonts against others.
My raised eyebrows come from the realization that quite a few different fonts might have to be replaced.
Challenge: Do it anyway and find a way to let the user decide everything: Which font should be replaced by which in the printout.

The coolest feature ever suggested, I know, I know...

I'm going to propose it to product management.
Thank you!
