Files to backup to save the installation configuration?

Post by Watney »

What files should be backed up to save custom installation configurations, such as the keyboard shortcuts?

If you back up all of the files in ~/SoftMaker/Settings/*.* will the custom configuration be saved? Or, are there other files that must be backed up?

Thanks!!!

I generally save a copy of the ~/Softmaker folder , which contains personal templates also. When I have needed, this has returned everything to my personal settings.

I keep it in a backup folder on my drive, and on an external drive, to make sure I don't lose it, and back it up again if I make any changes I want to keep.

This should work for you, but please test it.

Good advice. Thanks so much!! Just saved my ~/SoftMaker folder to an external location. Thanks for your time.
