Outlook (Microsoft Office) comparison with Thunderbird (Softmaker Office)

Post by donny4444 »

Anybody clear about any difference between Mozilla's Thunderbird free download available for Windows and what's provided within Softmaker? The Office suite from Softmaker has its counterparts to Microsoft Office (as most of us know... Word, Excel, etc.), Microsoft Office has its Outlook, and I can't avoid suspicion that Thunderbird is merely made "part of" the Softmaker Office suite to match up more favorably with MS Office. Would anybody please contribute to enlightening a newcomer like me who may be missing something here?

Hi, the Thunderbird version included in SoftMaker Office is the ESR version (Extended Support Release): https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/organizations/

However, SoftMaker has enhanced Thunderbird for Windows and Linux with additional practical features. By enabling you to organize messages into folders more efficiently, Thunderbird "powered by SoftMaker" saves you precious time:

If you wish to move an e-mail to a different folder, just enter a couple of letters from the folder name. Thunderbird immediately displays all the matching folders. One single further keystroke suffices to move the e-mail! It is just as easy to switch from one folder to another. This is a real time-saver for everyone who works with many folders.
