Bullet points have replaced " speech marks

Post by tomasfox »

I'm not sure what happened but I currently have a large Textmaker document which now has bullet points at the beginning of a speech. Not at the end. As if my dialogue has become bullet points. I've checked paragraphs style no bullet points checked.
I'm unable to use find and replace because I can't add as
black square bullet point symbol into the find box. Will I have to go manually go through entire document and change it? 135000 words. Lots of dialogue. Hoping it's me, no the program.
Thanks in advance. T

Hard to imagine. Can you post a screenshot?

As a big fan of word processors, I use Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer, Atlantis and TextMaker for my job. Working on a lot of documents, I can surely say, bullet points is one of the two weak areas of TextMaker in terms of compatibility. The other one is table width.

If you feel so, then give us detailed descriptions of what you are missing.

However, the original poster didn't talk about bullets. He talked about some characters being displayed with characters that look like bullets.

I'll shoot some screenshot when I come back from my summer holiday.
