Pro vs standard

Post by RonB »

I am thinking of upgrading from 2016 Standard to 2018 Pro in order to get language options. Question; is this feature simply a mater of the dictionary or can I create a document (or open) in one language and be able to view and edit in a different language? That is, open perhaps a document written in French, translate to English using the French to English feature, update in English, convert back to French? My guess is no even though the description says French to English English to French, I'm thinking that only means one word, not a complete document?

I also use Libra office but don't know if that program has the same language features as described for SoftMaker. Libra does read and write ODF however, and is now as fast as SoftMaker, but does not have my favorite feature of TABS!

SoftMaker Office Professional comes with a dictionary for word-by-word translations. There is an spell checker included in both versions.
