Printing landscape pdf files to printer

Post by bilfen » Thu Oct 18, 2018 6:19 pm

Using FlexiPDF pro 1.11 Win, I created a pdf with the text in a landscape orientation (selecting landscape in the print driver).
When the document opened in FlexiPDF pro, it opened across the page, so the text was readble.
However when printing it printed the PDF (which it new was landscape and had created) in portrait orientation, meaning the content was curtailed.
The printer is a HP Laserjet Pro 276.
There is no option on the initial (Flexipdf) print menu orientation, or print 2 up - you have to click through to the Manufacturers preferences to alter that, and no scaling apart from "fit to page".
A very disappointing state of things for a "Pro" product.
Please ask the development team include a portrait/landscape switch in the initial print dialogue - and ideally options to print 2 or 4 up, or print view.
In the meantime I am finding it quicker to use the Adobe reader to print files, even if the are being worked on in Flexipdf.

Are you using Windows 10 or an older version of Windows? Is the newest available printer driver installed? Does it work better of you print from another PDF viewer like Acrobat Reader?
