FlexiPDF professional not installing

Post by bhendren27 » Fri Aug 31, 2018 7:51 am

I received a notice from Softmaker offering an upgrade to my standard FlexiPDF, so I purchased it and received an email link, however upon downloading and installing it, it simply installed the standard version again. I uninstalled the program, did the install with the same result. How can I find a way to upgrade to the program I have already paid for?

You need to exchange the product key in Help > Activate.

I get an error message when I try this; that is upon entering activate this into the dialog box.

The exact message is: "You do not have sufficient access rights to activate Flexi PDF" which is odd because I am the sole administrator on my PC.

Please run FlexiPDF with adminsitrator rights (right mouse click on the exe file, then select "Properties" from the context menu, make sure that the tick in "Run as Adminstrator" is set). Does it make a difference?

OK, after much effort I found a way to make it work. The installation is always the standard software and you are supposed to go to Help>Activate but on doing this I received an administrative access error. So I went to the source exe file and right clicked and hit "run as administrator." This allowed me to enter my new product code and all is well. I am passing this along in case others have this problem. "Ich bin der welt abhanden gekommen..Ruckert.
