First page without number

Post by Suono & Computer » Sun Apr 30, 2017 8:53 am

Good morning,
I would like to number pages sequentially es. 1,2,3, ETC. But I would like the first page to remain without a number as this is the cover of the text. How can I do? Thank you.

1. Invoke Format > Chapter... and check "Different first page".
2. Go to page 2 of your document.
3. Invoke Insert > Footer (or "Header" if you want the page number on top of the page), place the cursor inside the footer and click the icon "Insert page number field" in the footer icon bar (or invoke Insert > Field... and click "Page number" there).
4. Invoke Format > Chapter... and set "Value" in "Page Number" to "0".
Now your page numbering should start on the second page with "1".
