Incompatibility with sCoreForge Excel spreadsheet

Post by K7AAY » Tue Jul 19, 2016 5:14 am

So, there's a Killer App
https://sourceforge.net/projects/scoreforge/
which I am trying to find a Linux spreadsheet app which will run it.

I came upon SoftMaker Office, and tested the spreadsheet; no, not compatible, won't properly look up data across tabs in the sheet.
Is there a compatibility option which would enable the sCoreForge sheet to work?

No, there is no such compatibility option in PlanMaker for Linux. But you can open that .xlsb file in MS Excel and save it in .xlsx file format. PlanMaker can handle .xlsx files

I can see in Ms Excel 2013 that the file contains macros. These would be disabled if you open that file in .xlsx file format in PlanMaker. PlanMaker does not yet support macros in Excel files.

Sad that compatibility is claimed, yet your product falls so short of the claims.

We don't claim compatibility with the .xlsb format or with VBA macros.

Gee, where do you state your incompatability with those two bulwarks of Excel functionality?

Go to the feature list on the web site and see which file formats we support.
