Feature request: formula editor in TextMaker

Post by peterh » Tue Dec 22, 2015 3:51 pm

Dear developers,
I like the new TextMaker 2016 for Linux a lot, but what keeps me from using it often, as a scientist, is the lack of a formula editor. Ideally, I would like to see this compatible with the Microsoft Word editor, so that files containing formulas could be imported. But an implementation of the LaTeX formula editor could be also a very good alternative. I hope that some day you can expand the program with this very useful feature!

Kind regards, and keep the good things running!

Same applies for me , too. As technical instructor I often have to write formulas. This feature is essential for me.

I just installed Softmaker's Office, after my lecturer recommended it as an alternative to the MS Office bloatware. After I had to find out (reading your manual document), that I cannot insert scientific formulas with TextMaker, I am forced to look for the next alternative software.
