Keybord shortcuts

Post by zellmer » Sat Dec 19, 2015 12:37 pm

This applies to Textmaker Trail 2016 (rev 749.1207) on Ubuntu 15.10 Gnome 3.16
Ctrl-A selects nothing. (No highlighting of any content).
Ctrl-C does not copy to the clipboard, and therefore Ctrl-V pastes nothing.
Other shortcuts likie Ctrl-B, Ctrl-F, Ctrl-I doesn't works too.
Shortcuts works in other apps.

Most probably an issue with Gnome/gtk3.

Abiword had to struggle a little against the same kind of phenomena. It would
be helpful to see reports by other Ubuntu-users who do not use gtk3-based
desktop-environments.

I will not make publicity for *my* solution, but can assure you, that copy &
paste work flawlessly in other configurations.

Just an idea.

Please deactivate SDL in Tools=>Options=>System. Does that help?

In the next service pack, SDL will be removed (and replaced by straight OpenGL calls). As a result, the keyboard handling will work like it did in SoftMaker Office 2012, even without configuring anything.
