UI | Page alignment problem

Post by attilas » Thu Dec 10, 2015 2:16 pm

If I maximize the TextMaker's window, and I hide the sidebar, then the page become aligned to left. But if I enable the sidebar again, it become aligned to center. If I un-maximize it's window then it become aligned to center, even if sidebar hidden.

I attached screenshots.

I'm not sure about the Linux version, but the Windows product has a simple solution. Go to Tools>Options and look at the View tab. Toward the bottom there are a couple of boxes under "View Options" One of these boxes is "Show multiple pages side by side". If that option is checked, then uncheck it. That should fix the problem.

I am undecided but might call it a bug anyway. Else each software that allows you to disable malfunctions could add 1 named feature to its account of adulation.
People should go where they are not supposed to go, say what they are not supposed to say and stay, when they are told to leave.

That's right, it is a bug.
But what can I do?

Should I hire a programmer and send to SoftMaker to fix my issues?

It's not a bug. When there is enough space on the screen (sidebar hidden), TextMaker by default tries to show two pages side by side. When you activate the sidebar, the usable area gets smaller and there is not enough room for two pages. TextMaker then displays one page, centered.

You can check this by adding a second page to the document, activating the sidebar and reducing the zoom level. Below some point, two pages will be shown side by side.
