Is Softmaker Thunderbird just Thunderbird?

Post by scrognoid » Tue Jan 16, 2018 3:23 pm

How is Softmaker Thunderbird different from Thunderbird? All the greatness talked about on the website sounds like Thunderbird. I use TB and like it. But I can think of a few things that could be better, like the GUI for entering event times in the calendar.

I'm using FreeOffice and it's great. I'm looking for an excuse to upgrade just to support the company.

Our Thunderbird is a stock Thunderbird plus SoftMaker goodness in the form of add-ons. These add-ons change some user interface behavior, install a more pleasant icon set and theme and, most valuably, add features for quick filing of messages and folder navigation. These are especially useful if you have lots of mail folders.
