Auto create links in TOC

Post by ewhitchu2 » Tue Jul 12, 2016 11:41 pm

How do I create Links automatically in TOC? I am having to generate the TOC using an old version of Microsoft Word since it does not happen in SoftMaker Office Standard 2016 TextMaker.
(This may be a duplicate question but I cannot see my recent Post so it must have been submitted incorrectly).

This is not yet supported in TextMaker. I will refer that as a suggestion to our product management.

The current way to a linked TOC in TextMaker is:
1. Select the (chapter) header in the document
2. Invoke Insert=>Bookmark, create a new bookmark and press "OK" to confirm
3. Now select the part of text in your TOC that shall be linked with the header
4. Invoke Format=>Link, select the bookmark and press "OK" to confirm

Thanks for that. Pity because I have used that feature in most of the documents that I originally wrote with Microsoft Office Word, many of which are quite long, being Program documentation of various kinds. Looks as though I still need MS Office for a while longer.
