Cannot Save or Save As

I have installed FreeOffice on a new build Windows 7 computer. However, I am completely unable to save any document (new or revised), and cannot quit with discarding any changes as selecting "YES" on save prompt does nothing. It's as if there is no code behind these options. I found exactly the same with Libre Office and Apache Open Office. Is there somethign wrong with my computer? Do I have vital software missing? Any help would be hugely appreciated as it's driving me nuts!

Try saving to the OneDrive folder

I reported a similar situation recently with not being able to save files, and the solution.

But that was a new anti-ransomware setting in the Security Centre in Windows 10.
I'm not sure if you have a similar setting in Win 7 but it may be worth a look?

Maybe you have some other anti-ransomware that is working in the same way and preventing you from saving files?
