TM HD and TM Mobile both work well on the new Gemini PDA except for a peculiar problem: all physical keyboard arrow keys move two spaces instead of one. Left/Right arrows move two characters, and Up/Down arrows move two lines instead of one.
Is there any solution to this?
Thanks,
Jake

No, there is unfortunately no solution for this issue.

Re: Gemini PDA/Arrows Issue
Hmm, weired. On my Lenovo YogaBook cursor keys work quite well in Textmaker HD jumping only one letter/ one line. On Gemini PDA, however, the cursor jumps two letters/ two lines if used for navigating or to mark text (with SHIFT). Jumping wordwise (with CTRL) on the other hand works as expected. Bad luck since typing is so much better on Gemini PDA...
Re: Gemini PDA/Arrows Issue
I agree it's a shame since I find TM HD works very well on the Gemini in most other aspects. I wonder if SM developers will ever get to the bottom of the issue.
Have you tried Granular Immersive Mode on the Playstore? You finish its installation by sending one adb command (or one terminal command if you're root), which permanently gives you to ability to hide status bar and nav bars, choosing app by app.
The result for TM is great. Tons of screen real estate and no stability problems. Works well with Word too.

Re: Gemini PDA/Arrows Issue
We continue development process of HD apps and we collect such issues to resolve them further. It can't be resolved promptly.
Re: Gemini PDA/Arrows Issue
The navigation with the keys is a pain but I bought a microsoft wedge bluetooth mouse for £15 and it does make using text maker a lot eaiser.
Re: Gemini PDA/Arrows Issue
I thought I'd post back with a workaround:
Go Tools/Customize/Keyboard Mappings
With Default highlighted, click Edit
Under Group, go to Editing
In Editing, under Command, click on "Character left"
In the Shortcut box ("Please press accelerator"), I chose Ctrl+Left (Control with left arrow)
Hit OK
Then hit Apply
There are also keyboard mappings available for Line up, Line down, and Character right.
I chose Control for the accelerator since my Alt key is already heavily keystroked and the Control key (at least on the US keyboard) is easily found (furthest left key on the fifth row).
If Control is the choice of accelerator, then keystrokes won't repeat when held down. If Alt is chosen, there is repeat upon holding down keystroke.
