Re: upgrade 2021 to 2024. Need to uninstall 2021?
It depends on if you still want to keep a copy of 2021 in your sistem or not. If you don't want to keep 2021 then yes, you need to uninstall it.

Re: Zotero
If you are using the ribbon interface go to References and look there for Zotero. For more information take a look at TM's manual.

Re: Linux version still lacking features
Last time I needed to use Zotero, support worked just fine with SM Office Pro/NX.

Re: Flatpak package - Request
While it could be convenient for those who relies on flatpak for SM Office to be there, is important to notice too that not everyone like flatpaks, hence non-flatpak versions would need to keep being maintained anyhow. Not to mention that while the flatpak ecosystem has some advantages, as you point...

Re: Presenter view not working on NX
I have experienced this before and it has nothing to do with SM Presentations, but with the window manager itself. In some, like in Enlightenment, you must tell E that windows can be placed outside useful geometry, otherwise it wont work. I ignore what window manager/desktop are you using but is wor...

Re: Plantin font?
I have been doing some research and I've found that Plantin fonts published by major companies don't include support for kerning European accented characters. For example, "a" has numerous kerning pairs but "á" has none. Shocking. They are useless too for me. Then, it's more hon...

Re: TextMaker not barrier-free: How to stop the blinking cursor?
I think what he mans is that he would like an option to make the block/bar/text cursor steady instead of blinking. Some applications like Terminology allow you to do such thing.

Re: Linux version still lacking features
SM Office can check spelling in almost any language (but granted, some of their "pro" dictionaries are lacking compared to the regular hunspell ones). When it comes to grammar, TM is only able to check it for German.
The integration with DeepL is only available for NX.

Re: Equivalent fonts in current Megafont
I think is important to point out that MegaFont XXL included several fonts that are not present in the current MegaFont 2019. You may find similar for some of those fonts you mention in the new MegaFont but not drop-in replacements.

Re: Plantin font?
As an alternative to Plantin you could use Francisco Serial. Francisco has all the characters that are missing from Placid, however Francisco Serial, as most Serials in MegaFont it lacks italics.

Edit the template. That's the way to change the default font.

Re: Plantin font?
Yes. I double checked by opening the font files with Font Forge. There are plenty of characters missing. Basically it will only work fine with the English language. Spanish, French, Italian, and most likely also German are out of the picture.

Re: Libre Office Presentations
I agree. The OpenDocument standard is much more cleaner than MS. However I think we are a minority. In the past few years I have found plenty of issues with TM's odt support. This issues are now fixed, but makes me believe that if the format was actually popular between SM users, this issues would h...

Re: GTK3 file picker settings option
I think is a terrible idea. You are amusing all people use and like GTK. There are plenty of people who do not. KDE users, for example, do not need a GTK portal, nor are accustomed to GTK file picker dialogs so why force it on them? And what if they do not even have any need of GTK at all? Setting a...
