Re: How do I change from writing in one column to writing in multiple columns (and revert back to one)?

The method given in the User Manual (not so much the Help function) is really simple and effective, thanks again!

How do I change from writing in one column to writing in multiple columns (and revert back to one)?

How do I type a few lines of text filling a page with only one column (i.e. a page without multiple columns) and then start typing in three columns, perhaps halfway down the page -- continuing these three columns on the next page? And how do I revert back to one column on say the third page? What ar...

How do I install softmaker-hunspell-afrikaans.sox?

I would like to install the hunspell dictionary softmaker-hunspell-afrikaans.sox again but have forgotten how to do that. I have Softmaker 2018 installed. If I click on the file softmaker-hunspell-afrikaans.sox it does not interact with Softmaker. There must be a special way of installing the dictio...

Re: How do I get my old Textmaker 2017 interface back?

Yes, I am aware of that but I mistook one of the 2018 interface options for the traditional interface, and then discovered that I had forgotten how to undo my choice. We have bought various Softmaker versions and also FlexiPDF in our household and we are all very happy with it. I have no objection t...

How do I get my old Textmaker 2017 interface back?

I installed Softmaker 2018 on a new computer today and discovered that I could not use it because I had forgotten how to change the interface back to the old interface I know so well and use with such ease on different computers. I can't even find the "help" button. Kindly tell me how to r...

Re: Command button to open a translation website

Thanks for responding! I have the standard version of Softmaker 2018 so unfortunately I can't check whether Berlitz gives the gender of nouns in languages where the gender has an effect on the conjugation of other parts of speech in a sentence. I hope to receive more advice on translation websites, ...

Command button to open a translation website

In a posting in 2017 I asked about finding a command button for a website regularly used while writing documents with Textmaker, such as Google Translate. It turned out that Google provides a solution. The method has changed slightly due to Google updates. Search and find the translation website wit...

How do I compile a document with some portrait and some landscape pages?

I was sent a document with the first few pages in portrait orientation and the following pages in landscape orientation. The document was produced with MS Word. How do I compile such a document with Textmaker? What do I do when the page orientation needs to change from portrait to landscape?

How do I type vertically in table cells?

I recently had to edit a table in a document produced with MS Word. The table had text aligned vertically in some of its cells. There seemed to be no problem editing these vertically aligned words, using Textmaker 2018. This suggests that it should be possible to align text vertically at the outset,...

I'm new to Planmaker but learning fast. What is the quickest and easiest way to highlight (colourise) selected files? The sequence of steps given is always the best way for me to understand and succeed. Thanks in anticipation!

Re: Planmaker 2016 & 2018 wrongly reformat a long number

Thanks for the support. Starting with an apostrophy when entering a long number - to avoid the automatic reformatting of the number - is something I simply did not know, being new to spreadsheets. The problem and its solution apply to both Planmaker 2016 and 2018, so I was not sure in which section ...
