Re: OneNote alternative planned?
I've had great success with Zim desktop Wiki. It wants for nothing compared to OneNote for my use. And the files are plain text, so I can open them in anything. I've never really forgiven Microsoft for the time I spent years writing a database in Access 2000 that can't be opened by any software afte...

Re: Can I create a new Textmaker document containing the fields from a table?
Thanks for your quick reply Sven-l. What I'd like to do is take have a form like the attached example "The new form.tmdx" with four textboxes, and have people fill it out in form mode. I'd then like to write a script which generates a file based on the attached template "Data to here ...

Can I create a new Textmaker document containing the fields from a table?
Hello I have a document. It's basically a form made up entirely from tables. What I'd like to do is take the contents of one or more cells in a table and pass them to a new document so I could have an entry on my form in a new document. I can do this to different sections in a document in plain Text...

Re: 32 bit or 64 bit? any difference?
Basicmaker works on 32 bit. It doesn't on 64 bit. I might switch if it is ever finished.

Re: 32 bit or 64 bit? any difference?
Better, actually!
I find the 32 bit Windows version far more reliable.

Re: Conditional text fields
Yes, Jossi. Thank you! I am talking about fields in tables in TextMaker. What I'd like to do specifically is have a string of text in a document that is displayed along with the contents of the cell if there is some text in the field. For example, if the cell in my table contained no text, the resul...

Default format for files
Hi
Is it possible to make Textmaker choose RTF as its default file format when saving new documents? I have years worth of RTF files, and I like the consistency.
Thanks!

I might have to make one. Not to worry.
It's still a great piece of software!

Re: Data entry forms for the database
My database has quite a lot of fields, which are not laid out in a particularly easy to read way with the names of the actual database (which are themselves quite hard to read.
What I'd like to do is create a form to enter data.

Re: Please extend cloud integration to all Office versions
By the same token, I have to say please don't!
I like having my files on devices I own. Convenience is great, but I prefer the knowledge that I am responsible for the files on my computer. All the big cloud providers have lost data in the past, and the end users have no comeback.

Data entry forms for the database
Hello I'm enjoying exploring Textmaker. IMO, it's much better than the competition. I'm just curious, though. Is there any way of making a slightly friendlier form for entering data into the database? I have a form I enter text into. Is it possible to copy some of the fields from it to create a new ...

Deregistering old computer
I'm going to become a subscriber. You have a great product, and I have to work on Windows machines as well as Linux ones. I need to ask a question though. If I've installed Softmaker on five computers but then have to replace one, can I remove the product from the dead computer and install it on a f...
