Re: how to add chapter numbers to the headings?

I read in the manual that you have to insert the chapter-number as a field, i.e. using the menu-command
Insert|Field

How did you define your heading and how did you define the chapter-format?

This may or may not be true for the Ribbons interface, which I do not know further.

If you do not find the said function for any reason, you can look under Tools|Options|Edit for the Middle mouse button and choose the paste option from the dropdown list.

Re: Page break view

I would like to change page break with mouse. I see. The feature does, AFAIS, not exist in SoftMaker Office. And, while I see how it could be useful for the text-processor, the implementation for the spreadsheet must be complicated due to the possible ways to devise a table in sections, horizontall...

Re: [Probably Solved - Sorry] simplify OOXML / document.xml

I found one working solution on the Web, from a source that I considered unreliable as it confuses me more than it helps, most of the time... But darn. This works. My error or misunderstanding comes from the fact, that I tried to style table-cells, not whole tables. Now it looks like the cell-style ...

Re: Page break view

Hello Pawel The page breaks are represented by black lines inside the current sheet. I have not much experimented with altering colors for grid and stuff and will not promise that they will be very visible to your eye. I try a screen shot from one of my own PlanMaker files: sc_page-breaks_pmdx.png I...

Re: « state of emergency »

5° Celsius to the end of this century. It is over. Tell your grand-children that they will die a more or less violent death due to conflicts, shortages of arbitrary kind or just sickness. And be grateful to your elders! As habit is the strongest of all natural laws and annuls every other natural law...

[Probably Solved - Sorry] simplify OOXML / document.xml

All that follows concerns TextMaker, not PlanMaker, although I speak of tables. The more perceptive among you will notice this anyway, but I want to keep the uproar manageable. Thank You. :) Good morning. In the attempt to facilitate and automate some tasks in SoftMaker Office, I am already transfor...

BUG: Date format

What is correct setting for Planmaker ? Difficult to say, as the setting does not work. It would be correct, if PlanMaker honored its own announcements, sometimes. Screen Shot with an authentic cell format. This can be called a bug (continues below the picture): sc_date.png I may be erring, but thi...

Re: Equation feature

By future versions you mean, for example, a 2020 version or just an update? Because I have urgency in having an equation editor! Read again Mister Kotula's post, above: We will be working on our own equation editor which will not use OLE. . This is a profound change which shall concern the Windows®...

Re: Equation feature

It is feature that we are planning for future versions. Elaborate, please. As the “ feature ” currently depends on components which are external to SoftMaker Office and nonexistent in Linux, what is the “ plan ”, exactly? If you are leaning out of the window (not ®, I mean an opening in the outer w...

Re: Please extend cloud integration to all Office versions

By the same token, I have to say please don't ! Me too. We should have a [please don't] -button on this kind of thread. While anybody's self- inflicted mischief should not prevent nor advocate any new functionality which addresses only a limited number of users, the consequences are felt my many mo...

In the old days and probably on a different planet, you used to keep the old version available, yourself.
