Re: Lines at bottom ofpage

Thank you! For some reason the last paragraph on each page had a paragraph border below. (I have no idea how this was produced, and frankly, I have never seen something like this before.) Moreover, the whole document was rather badly formatted. It looked as if it had been set up by a person who used...

Re: Lines at bottom ofpage

Thank you, but we need the original TextMaker document. In your reply, please use the tab "Attachments" visible under the text entry field to upload the file.

Re: Overview Menu and Keyboard Shortcuts - HELP

As far as I know, there is no "Overview" viewing mode in TextMaker. Are you talking about View > Outline?

Keyboard shortcuts are now available in Tools > Customise..., below the left column.

Re: Disable side bar

Obviously you are working with FreeOffice. The sidebar cannot permanently be disabled there, only in the commercial version of SoftMaker Office.

Please ask questions concerning FreeOffice in the appropriate subforum.

Re: Textmaker open files

Tabs are only available in the full version of SoftMaker Office, not in FreeOffice.

Re: Lines at bottom ofpage

Could you please provide a sample document? Otherwise it's difficult to find the cause of the issue.

Re: Can't find system fonts in font list

Are the fonts installed in sub folders? This is one reason, yes. Checked it once more - for fonts not in subfolders, it depends on the font type. SMO doesn't support TrueType collections (*.ttc), some (older) Mac-specific font types: TrueType (Mac) and Data fork suitcase (*.dfont), and the disconti...

Re: Can't find system fonts in font list

Confirmed – the font list in TextMaker shows only a fraction of the fonts which are installed on my system (and are visible in other programs like e.g. TextEdit).

Re: Textmaker open files

By default, TextMaker opens multiple documents in tabs in the same window. If you need two documents side by side, check the checkbox "New Program window" in the File > Open... dialogue box when opening the second document, then resize and arrange the two windows. When two or more documents are alre...

Re: Windows 10 OneDrive

When everything is going to OneDrive from every single program, it's not a specific problem of FreeOffice but has something to do with your Windows 10 settings. As I have disabled OneDrive completely in my Win10 installation and I'm not Windows-savvy enough to clear up this issue, I'm afraid I can't...

Re: Windows 10 OneDrive

Well, obviously something has gone wrong with your settings. You should uninstall FreeOffice completely, delete all folders named "SoftMaker" and try a clean new installation to your hard drive. By default, all FreeOffice settings are in a folder named "SoftMaker" located at C:/Users/<MYNAME>/Docume...

Re: Windows 10 OneDrive

IIRC FreeOffice always suggests the last used folder to save, not a fixed one. If this doesn't work for you I recommend making use of the Quick Path function. It allows to define fixed locations to open from and save to which can be reached by a single click.

Re: Default page size

Go to File > Open..., choose "Templates (*.tmvx, *.tmv)" as File type and open "Normal.tmvx". Now go to File > Page setup..., set the page size to A4 and save the template. All new documents should now have A4 size.
