Re: open PlanMaker with sheet full screen.

Now I've got it. This is really strange. I observe the opposite effect: on my computer, all spreadsheets are opened in maximized view, even if they were saved non-maximized. I couldn't find out how this behavior can be altered. Maybe the SoftMaker developers can say more about it?

Re: open PlanMaker with sheet full screen.

Maybe I didn't understand your question correctly. What exactly do you mean by "displaying a sheet full screen within the program"?

Re: open PlanMaker with sheet full screen.

Go to File > Open... , choose "PlanMaker templates (*.pmvx, *pmv)" as file type and open "Normal.pmvx". Adjust the size of the sheet to your wishes, then save the template again ( File > Save , not File > Save as...). Repeat with "Normal.pmv" if you use this format, too. PlanMaker will remember the ...

Re: autotext/Smartext

I decided to go with the totally portable solution for my secondary database, because I work on my main computer and on my Surface, depending where I am. It just works better for me. I can keep the portable version when I'm at home, and plug that in to my Surface when I need it. I did put a shortcu...

Re: autotext/Smartext

I'm not sure what exactly will happen when you add a "portable.txt" file to an existing SoftMaker Office installation, but I expect problems. The differences between a regular and a portable installation are: a) a portable installation doesn't change anything on the host computer (it doesn't registe...

Re: autotext/Smartext

Yes, if you use the included utility program to create a portable installation (as recommended in "Tips & tricks") it asks (understandably) for a different drive. A different partition will do fine; otherwise, in "Tips and tricks" is described exactly what the utility does – it copies first the Soft...

Re: autotext/Smartext

The "double installation" solution has even more advantages: the list of recent documents in the "File" menu shows only documents in the respective language version, and all your document templates can get this languange version as "Standard" language (which automatically sets the spell checker to t...

Re: autotext/Smartext

... since I'm often working on more than one manuscript at the same time ... That's just what I feared. (My hope was that, as a novelist, you might be working at one and the same project for a long time.) The workaround I proposed (and Alfred explained so nicely, thank you for that) requires that, ...

Re: autotext/Smartext

If you are using SmartText only for this purpose, you could simply turn off SmartText when you write in UK English. (Uncheck "Expand SmartText entries" in Tools > Options... , tab "Language"). But if you need SmartText for other things too, it gets a bit complicated. One possible workaround would be...

Re: Transfer [Conditional] Formatting ?

IIRC, Conditional Formatting cannot be transferred using the "Transfer Cell Formatting" tool (i. e. the Brush tool). Try this instead: 1. Copy cell B2 (Ctrl+C). 2. Select the cells you want to transfer the conditional formatting to. 3. Go to Edit > Paste special... (Ctrl+Shift+V). 4. In the dialogue...

Re: Outline width changes in PlanMaker on save/reopen

I've checked it again: After saving and reopening, the border lines are displayed correctly on screen and in print, but the dialogue box is still saying 1 pt. The SoftMaker developers should have a look at this.

Re: Insert List/Label not allowing for New List/Label

What you see in the "Generate label" window is a new set of labels. It's only pre-filled with the data from your last label set. Just change the data shown.

Re: Outline width changes in PlanMaker on save/reopen

I can reproduce this issue, at least partly. When I reopen the document and go to Format > Cell..., tab "Borders", it shows 1 pt instead of 0.5 pt, but only for the outline, not for the inline borders. Then I checked the document in high resolution and the actual border width was in fact 0.5 pt over...

Re: Can click to advance feature be disabled?

I may be wrong, but as I understand the poster, he wants to run his kiosk mode presentations completely automatically without the possibility of intervening by swiping on the screen, so he asks for an option to turn off all swipes in kiosk mode.
