HI.
Go to Tools>Options>Files and select Default file format.

The option for .rtf is at the bottom of the list.

Select it and Textmaker will save in RTF format by default.

You know, I don't use linux because it is free software, though I am very pleased that it also is free of financial cost. It does not happen on bunsenlabs openbox debian either. I use clipit clipboard manager.

No suggestions on how to fix it, however.
