Re: Header/footer text not located correctly

Thanks for pointing out this problem to the developers. I hope the "fix' can be implemented fairly soon, since right now I can't really work on any DOCX files that contain headers and/or footers! I recently discovered a (probably) related problem with headers/footers. In this case, I have a 3-part h...

Re: Header/footer text not located correctly

I've attached two files to show the problem I'm having with Headers and Footers in DOCX files. The first file, SAMPLE.DOCX, was produced with Microsoft Word 2007 and in that program the header and footer text (in the section at the bottom of the file) is centered. If this DOCX file is opened with Te...

Re: Header/footer text not located correctly

My problem appears to have been caused by TextMaker having a problem when it (apparently) tried to convert "alignment" tabs in DOCX files (used in my headers & footers) into "traditional" tabs. I tried, in Word 2007, to save my DOCX file as a DOC file. Unfortunately, Word 2007 also "messed" up the t...

Header/footer text not located correctly

Folks, I've just opened an MS Word document containing a large number of sections (called chapters, I gather, in TextMaker). In the original document the text in both the headers and the footers is centered, while in TextMaker the text is always right justified. It seems that changing tab/type tab/s...

Re: Table/cell margins not same as in MS Word

Well, I've installed the just-released update to TextMaker HD and, unfortunately, the spacing problem that I noted above is still present. I guess it is not reasonable to expect 100% agreement between MS Word and another product... The spacing difference is relatively minor and I still think TextMak...

Purchased upgrade, now can't update!

About a month ago I purchased an in-app upgrade from the BASIC version of TextMaker HD to the FULL version. The icon for the program still says BASIC, but all the features of the FULL version have been working. Now I'd like to update my version of TextMaker HD to include the latest fixes & enhanceme...

Re: Table/cell margins not same as in MS Word

Thanks for reporting my concern to the developers! I notice that the last update for TextMaker HD appears to have been in March of 2016. Would you have any estimate of when the next update may be released? Thanks, Wayne

Re: Margins not accurate

Folks, The problem is certainly with the implementation of Cloud Printing on my Canon MG7220 inkjet. At least when using plain paper there doesn't seem any way to do "borderless" printing. In other words, the printer ALWAYS seems to add certain sized borders to any document that is printed, effectiv...

Table/cell margins not same as in MS Word

Folks, I often use a single-cell table as a simple way to draw a box around some text. Here is an example of such a box in a Microsoft Word document: MS table margins.png When I look at this same identical document with TextMaker I see: TextMaker.png Please note that the Microsoft table has less spa...

Re: Margins not accurate - SOLVED?

Folks, Me again! It really appears that the problem is with my Canon MG7700 printer. When "Cloud Printing" to this printer (particularly on plain paper) there doesn't seem to be any way to specify borderless printing. As a result, the margins specified in my imported Word document are ADDED to the b...

Re: Margins not accurate

Folks, I've just noticed that the left and right margins also print considerably larger than the 0.5" that I specified in Page setup. Even if I specify top/bottom/left/right margins of 0.0", the printed margins are approximately: top: 0.37" bottom: 0.50" left: 0.26" right: 0.26" When editing, the ma...

Re: Prints too far down page

Folks, I've noticed (and reported) this same problem when using the Android version of TextMaker HD! In fact, the bottom margin also prints much larger than the value specified. This is a real problem when importing MS Word documents because it "messes up" the careful pagination of my documents. Hop...

Margins not accurate

I have the full version of TextMaker HD and notice a problem with margins, both when importing an MS Word document AND when creating new documents. Specifically, I used Page setup to define the top and bottom margins as 0.5" rather than the default 1.0". However, when I print a document the margins ...
