Re: Copying / Moving Frames

That's why I wrote: "set both documents to edit/object mode". It's true you can also copy an object while in edit mode, but I preferred to keep it simple.

Re: Recently used files in File menu

Strange. I set it to 20, and the menu shows 20. I'll give it a try with 50 and look what happens.

Re: Remember on-screen locations of dialogs

I'm afraid not. At least, I would like to have this function, too, and AFAIK there is no way to achieve it.

Re: Copying / Moving Frames

TextMaker handles text and object frames in different modes (edit mode and object mode). So you need two steps to copy or move text with objects: First, set both documents to edit mode, select the text, copy and paste. Second, set both documents to object mode, select the objects, copy and paste. Fo...

Re: Dictionary of Medical Terms

FreeOffice uses Hunspell dictionaries, so if your dictionary is in Hunspell format (or can be converted into it - but I have no idea how to do this), FreeOffice can use it.

Re: Service pack 936 (win) won"t install

Version is TextMaker Professional 2018 (rev 933 0620) 32 bit.
In the location you named there are only servicepack 1832_931.exe and servicepack 1832_933.exe.

I know I'm rapidly becoming a grumpy old man, but the manual installation of servicepacks as before was by far less problematic.

Restarted Windows twice. Didn't make any difference.

Please check Tools > Options, tab "View". Are format marks selected there for permanent view?

Re: I can not use it

Problems with Cairo dock have been reported in the German forum, too. One user solved it by creating a sub-dock and moving the Softmaker application icons into this sub-dock. Worth a try.

Re: Any way to autofill with a character?

In TOCs, there is tab between the heading name at the beginning and the page number at the end of the line. Right-click, choose "Tabs..." and adjust "Tab leader" accordingly. This works in TM 2018 just as in TM 2012 (and with all other tabs, too).

Re: Using the "Average" function

Divisions by zero (#DIV/0!) shouldn't occur at all. The correct way is to adjust your formulas to prevent this. Subsequent formulas will work then, too.
