TextMaker 2024 and earlier used Ctrl+-(alphabetical keyboard) for Soft hyphen and Ctrl+-(Num pad) for En dash.
TextMaker 2026 uses Ctrl+- (both alphabetical keyboard and Num pad) for zoom out. And Ctrl++ for zoom in.

I think, Soft hyphen is not really the correct solution to cancel hyphenation ...

How could that possibly work? The screen dimensions are different, and the ribbon adapts to that.

This is one very weird thread that could have been totally avoided by starting the setup, choosing a custom install and seeing that you can select TextMaker, PlanMaker and Presentations independently.

Don't skip the button "Show all improvements" at the bottom of the page.

This function implements exactly the functionality offered by MIcrosoft Word, and that's the way to stay compatible with DOCX.

The borders can either wrap around the page or around the text. That's a setting available from the Options button in the dialog.
