Re: Idea for Forum
I think I understand... you apply the updates, but they GIVE you guys the updates to apply... so, even if you did an manual update in between... their next one would just overwrite changes you made... Okay, not to beat a dead horse, but... I don't suppose this is something SoftMaker can request they...

Idea for Forum
Has anyone ever considered making the "SoftMaker" icon in the top left hand corner of the forum go to the home page rather than the board index? Given that there is already and Board Index link, just below it... why not do that? Otherwise, the person has to retype the address in the addres...

Re: Bragging Rights for Softmaker
If you can believe it, every single presentation that the professor created, about 50% of the other students were unable to open. Rather an oddity. I've seen one or two in the past, but never such a large number. In any regard... just another reason to "emigrate".

Bragging Rights for Softmaker
Here is something I thought might interest folks. For some odd reason a number of students in course that I am currently attending could NOT open powerpoint presentations from the professor... Odd... they all had PPT... However... thanks to 1) the ability of SoftMaker Presentations ability to open P...

Forum Feature request
I noticed that at the top of the forum there is a "next topic" link. Doesn't make sense to have this at the bottom even more than the top... It only takes about three posts and then you have to scroll all the way back up to the topic to advance.
Just a thought.

Linux - SoftMaker stuff Question
I noticed a while back that SoftMaker Office is also on Linux. Are there any preferred flavours? Are Windows and Linux products aligned with each other? The obvious answer would be yes, but I don't want to assume. Are they also aligned with respect to feature releases? I noticed in some areas it say...

SoftMaker Volunteers
Simple question. I did a quick search on what SoftMaker Volunteers were... and didn't really find an answer.
Are these folks volunteer programmers? What exactly do they do? Is this a program?
Thanks... Just curious.

Re: NNTP (Offline Readers)
Thanks. I don't suppose that there is a way to encourage or facilitate this process? Or the alternative is to be able to answer it from email? Adobe for example has both of these options.

NNTP (Offline Readers)
Hi Folks,
I do some voluntary moderation and tech support for a large graphics software company. I am able to do this because I can use Thunderbird to pull the messages off the board and reply to them when time permits. Is it possible to do this here? or something similar?
Thanks.

Release Date? Next Beta?
This seems like an appropriate time to ask this question given how fast the 30th is approaching... but will there ben additional round of testing for a release Candidate? Or is there a release date set for the final version yet? I'm testing the Presentations in front of a live audience on Monday... ...
