I’ve been using TextMaker Free since 2019 and recently noticed the Track Changes menu is nowhere to be found. Has it been removed from the desktop versions?

I took a closer look at this issue. It's very specific, it only reproduces with some portions of the document. When I extract them into a new document, the problem doesn't reproduce. I also have issues trying to extract an example into a clean file. Here's a video of how it looks:

While I type the cursor flickers from pointer to hourglass with each key I press. If I move the mouse away from the document window this annoying behavior stops. My OS is Fedora 40 with Gnome running in a VM. BTW, I switched to KDE/Plasma and got the same behavior.

Side note: It’d be GREAT if the SoftMaker developers switched to Wayland so the looks on Linux is on par with MacOS and Windoze

Update: I followed these instructions to install TrueFonts on Fedora:

Rendering is now perfect, matching TextMakerFree on MacOS, and iPad.
