Major issues whilst editing a large .docx file
I started creating the Unofficial Manual for Zorin 18 Core in TextMaker 2024. Now trying to finalise in the Beta of 2026/NX. All the image properties I had marked as 'Fixed on Page' have decided to lose their places. Going back to TextMaker 2024 as it is causing major headache when images marked as ...

Feature request?
Hi,
I am currently working on finalising the Unofficial Manual for ZorinOS 18.x Core and have started page numbering at 0 for the cover page. When checking object properties of captured screen images it reports that it will be fixed on +1 page number to what is shown. Is it possible to accommodate ...

Poor export as ePub in Beta 9
Hi,
Sorry for the delay in reporting this. I still do some modification work of texts from time to time for students with low-vision. I decided a recent work I undertook for a QTVI (Qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired) to test the Beta's Export as EPUB function. All the text was dark and ...

Think I messed up tryng to get current Beta
Hi,
I somehow managed to get a 31 day trial version of NX instead of the Beta. What should I do? Is it the same version?

Is there any add-in to facilitate 'markdown'?
The subject header says it all. It would be nice to include 'markdown text' option for users of manuals for GNU/Linux to be able to copy and paste bash scripts.

Inserted Page Breaks not holding/saving in .odt format
Having inserted Page Breaks in an .odt file, saved the file, closed the file, re-opened the file, the inserted Page Breaks are no longer present. This was the same in Beta 3 - this is in Beta 4.

Re: Return to last editing position ... not working.
If this document is in ODT format, then the feature is not supported in TextMaker. As I have said many many times, SMO's ODT support is lagging behind A LOT. TM only supports version 1.0 of the specification while, the current stable specification is version 1.3, that is a few years old now. Then ...

Return to last editing position ... not working.
Hi,
Recently remembered to checkmark this in Options | Files. This evening while opening the Unofficial Manual for Zorin 18 Core it opened at the first page, note where I was when saving the document after last edit.

Re: Issue of Text Frame over image
Hi martin-k, thanks for the advice.
I have created the last Unofficial Manual for Zorin 17 without issue (true I did not have the number 17 on the image used for that release. For me TextMaker is great at producing documents, including DTP. I also export to .pdf without any issues.

Issue of Text Frame over image
Wanted to enter a text frame over image for front cover of the Unofficial Manual for Zorin 18 I am currently working on and even though no frame is applied, it shows up very badly. To get round this I resorted to using Inkscape to create the text and copy and pasted into the image being used for the ...

Problem inserting comments to identify start of a section in a document to be moved to a later section
Issue with inserting Comments. I am currently in the process of writing the Unofficial Manual for Zorin OS 18 Core, a GNU/Linux distribution, using the one I created for Zorin 17 as a Base point. I place the cursor in the text where I want to add a comment to indicate an 'end of section' for moving ...

Hi Tcaws,
I didn't post in your thread in case I was mixing up the issue with Colours used for the Fonts on the Tabs in the Ribbon.
I wholeheartedly agree that this is removing choice from consumers. At first it took me some time to get used to the Red themed ribbon. I have been using SoftMaker ...
