Re: Polish letters "ć" and "Ź"

Thank you for the detailed report and for tracing it back to the shortcut assignments. I can reproduce this issue.

As an immediate remedy, the two shortcuts can be cleared or reassigned under Tools > Customize > Search for "Copy formatting" and "Unicode to Hex value"> remove these shortcut keys ...

Re: Print merge button has disappeared

Thank you for posting your query.

Once the document has been set up as a mail merge, the merged output can be printed from either print dialog — the one under the File tab or the one under Mailings . Both dialogs provide options for choosing which records to include, so you can print all records or ...

Re: copying/pasting a formula

Thank you for the detailed description, and to bernado82 for helping pin down the behaviour.

Confirmed: up to and including S1500, "Paste formula" writes only into the first cell of the target range instead of filling the entire selection.

This has already been fixed on our side and will be ...

Re: 3rd Mouse Button (not the wheel) To Quickly Scroll Documents

Yes, that's activated by pressing the mouse scroll wheel button — currently, it's not implemented in TextMaker. I've passed this along as an improvement suggestion.

Re: Perpetual License?

Wouldn't it have been a swell idea to have mentioned on that web page that a perpetual license for SM 2026 is in the pipeline, or was the absence not due to sloppiness?

It's actually stated right on the website, on the product page itself: "If you order SoftMaker Office Professional 2024 now ...

Re: Nach Update 2025.420.0626 nur noch Englisch ...

Thanks for your post, but I'm unable to reproduce this issue on my end.

Could you please confirm whether this is related to FlexiPDF 2025 or FreePDF 2025, and whether you're using the 32-bit or 64-bit version?

You could also try reinstalling the application, as that may resolve the issue.

Re: SoftMaker Office needs a real database

Thank you for this well-argued post, and for sharing your experience from the public sector — the point about European governments moving away from Microsoft is a fair one.

As Martin explained previously, a standalone database such as a revived DataMaker is not something we have the manpower to ...

Do you think really that I don't make the attempt, before to take the time to write you ? (3 explorers)

Re: Hyperlinks for websites

Thank you for your post. TextMaker's database is a data source for mail merge rather than a relational database like Access, so it does not have a dedicated hyperlink field type. A field can hold the URL as plain text, but it is not stored as a clickable link the way it is in Access.
