Thank you for posting your suggestion, but as I can reverify, this functionality is already working as you mentioned in your suggestion.

After pressing Ctrl+F, the Search for sidebar opens, and after that, all commands like Ctrl+C, Ctrl+A, and Ctrl+V are applied to that search field only.

FreeOffice does not change the keyboard layout on its own and always uses the default keyboard layout configured in Windows. If the keyboard switches unexpectedly, it is likely caused by a third-party application interfering with your keyboard or input settings.
