Default bullet

A client has supplied a document created in MS Word and it has a number of bulleted lists. The bullets are the standard circles filled with black like this: ●. When I open the file in TextMaker, the bullets display like this: ⎕ (Well, nearly. It's more of an upright rectangle, not square) It's not a...

Inserting PDF images

I have a PDF of a chart that I want to insert into a TextMaker document. If I try to insert it as a picture, PDFs aren't recognised. How can I do this?

Cheers,

Paul.

Quick paths

According to the manual, there should be a "quick paths" option in the File/Open dialog box. I can't find it. What am I doing wrong?

Tracked changes problem

I'm continuing to test SoftMaker Office as I'd like it to replace MS Office. Since my clients use MS Office, I need to be able to interchange documents as seamlessly as possible. So far, it's working well but I've hit a snag. If I create a document in MS Word and then turn on Track Changes, addition...

Re: Read-only docx files

Wow! Thanks, Miguel.

I tried this but couldn't see why it would work. But it did!

Thanks again!

Read-only docx files

Hi, I'm new to SoftMaker Office and am trying it out before purchasing. I'm keen to stop using Microsoft Office but my clients do use Word. I've noticed that if I save a file as docx and then open it in Word, it opens as a read-only file. How can I prevent this happening? (I'm using a MacBook Pro (M...
