Re: Brain dead customer support

Where else should I send suggestions? I couldn't find any other contact address on your web site.

Megafont NOW equivalent for Jenson?

Does the Megafont NOW collection include an analog for Adobe Jenson? Many of the font names in Megafont NOW seem to be chosen to provide hints as to the "name brand" equivalents, but there aren't many that begin with 'J' and Jessica doesn't appear to be a clone of Jenson. Jenson seems to b...

Brain dead customer support

SoftMaker - Do you use artificial "intelligence" for customer support? I recently used e-mail to send a suggestion for improvement of FreePDF (and FlexiPDF). I did NOT ask any questions, and I did NOT request any product support. I offered in good faith a suggestion intended to help make y...

Re: Enlarge and reduce font size shortcut

Yes, that works -- in Word. You are correct, it doesn't work in TextMaker (and it also doesn't work in LibreOffice Writer). [Note: For those who may be confused, the original post showed the shortcut as ctrl+< and ctrl+>. After I reported that it didn't work, the OP edited it to ctrl+shft+< and ctrl...

Re: FlexiPDF not printing to virtual printer

PrintDisp is enabled. It was not disabled.

The FlexiPDF virtual printer still does not "print."

Dual installation?

I have purchased FlexiPDF 2022, but I have kept FlexiPDF 2019 on my primary computer because I don't care for the ribbon interface. It interferes with my work flow. However, there are some features in FlexiPDF that are not available in FlexiPDF 2019. On some occasions, it would be nice to have acces...

Re: Measuring tools?

I'd like to revive this discussion yet again. I have been researching free PDF readers for possible adoption in the governmental office where I work. Some of us have (and need) a PDF editor, but many of the staff don't need anything more than a reader. I (and a couple of the other technical staff) h...

Formatting bookmarks

When creating bookmarks in Adobe Acrobat, it is possible to set the font of individual bookmarks to bold, italic, or bold+italic, and also to set the color of the font. Every three years I have to purchase a new series of code books, and in recent years each code has included bookmarks with the majo...

Re: Enlarge and reduce font size shortcut

I have used every version of Word from 2003 though 2019. I am currently on Word 2019. I have never before heard of this shortcut and, upon reading your post, I immediately opened a document in Word and tried it.

It does not work. I just tried it again. Is it a macro you created?

Re: How To make Differents Margins in TextMaker??

Be aware that when you enable Mirror Margins, the side margin settings change from "Left" and "Right" to "Inside" and "Outside." The easy way to keep track of your margins is to set the inside and outside margins to the same dimension, and then use the "G...

Re: Removing Chapters From Document

Go to page 5. Highlight the page number, then right click on it. You should see a pop-up dialogue box with a list of things you can modify; toward the bottom of the list is an entry for "Edit field." Click that. That will open up another dialogue box, with a bunch of things you can change ...

Turn on Reveal Codes (the backwards 'P' paragraph symbol in the menu bar). Scroll though the document until you see

Place the cursor at the left end of the dashed line, and press DELETE

Re: Eliminating Blank Lines Between Paragraphs

No condescension intended. I saw that you mentioned using "Paste Unformatted" but you didn't say whether or not you are pasting into a custom style rather than the default "Normal" style. Since paste unformatted sets the imported text to the style of the paragraph into which it's...

Re: Eliminating Blank Lines Between Paragraphs

Re search and replace: Go to Edit > Replace... In the dialog box, click Special > Paragraph mark twice for the search field and once for the Replace field. Click "Replace all" and there you are. I think this is easier than using an additional text editor. Yes, that's the procedure I used ...
