Sven, my impression is that TM simply does not restore whole sessions. I have found nothing on this in the manual. Do you see something that I may have missed?

I haven't touched the swap file, and the disks all have a minimum of 30% free space. I defragged them all a month ago or so, so they should be in good condition in that regard.

The error happened one day a few times. After restarting Windows and of course TM, the error has not recurred. So I have nothing more to report and suggest letting it go. Auto Recovery is indeed on, and TM does indeed restore each document properly, one at a time, upon request. What TM does not seem...

Second, to be clear, are you saying that the "problem" seems to occur when pasting frames while in text mode, but not while pasting frames while in object mode?

Jossi, I set mine to 20, per above, and 17 documents now appear. So I will continue nudging the setting upward in modest increments and observe what occurs.

To be clear: images and other objects not contained in frames are anchored within the text flow and may be copied and pasted as part of that flow; objects contained in frames are anchored in place on the physical page and must be copied or moved separately. Correct?
