[SOLVED]License not working
I recently got rid of a desktop computer and trying to install Softmaker on a Linux Laptop. I have several Licenses, but most recently purchased a mixed License. I currently have Softmaker on 2 Windows 10 computers, and 1 Linux computer. I'm trying to install on another Linux computer which would ma...

[Solved]Linux trial version missing
I don't see the Linux download for Softmaker on your home page. Am I missing something?
I need to reinstall it as I had to reinstall my Linux OS.
Never mind. I found it under PC and Mac.

Concerns about data and other info collection
We Linux folks are a paranoid bunch in general :) I posted about the Freemaker version on a Linux forum and there were some concerns about your product: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=270056&p=1473991#p1473991 Particular concerns involved what info Softmaker collects on us...

Full Linux Version
I previously purchased the Linux version. Why is it so hard to find a way to download it? I have a new computer to download it to but all I can find are trial versions and my licenses on the softmaker site and not downloads for purchased version. How do I find that?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Pay for software in Linux?
I love free software. And I love software like Softmaker that is a great value for the price. Linux is more than just a free OS. Ask those guys at Redhat.

Re: Saving as .docx with TM 2016 and saving as .docx with TM 2018. What is the difference?
Thanks guys! I suppose there must be some advantage to Softmaker having its own file format, but I'm wary of that idea and being stuck with a file that could potentially be impossible to open. One reason I really like the open file formats. Nevertheless, really loving Softmaker and especially Textma...

Re: Saving as .docx with TM 2016 and saving as .docx with TM 2018. What is the difference?
Am I correct in thinking that if I use the default .tmdx file format it can only be read and opened by Textmaker? For instance, if I uploaded and tried to open that file in Google docs it would be unreadable by Google Docs?

Re: Is it possible to run both 2016 and 2018 on the same computer?
I've got both running on Windows 10 with no issue. I did make sure my file types under settings like doc and docx were associated with the 2018 version, so that is the one that opens those files. If I right-click on a file it only gives me the option of the newer 2018 version, but I imagine you coul...

Re: Word Count
Thank you!martin-k wrote:With classic menus:
1. Tools > Customize
2. Type "count", and you see all commands about counting.
3. Drag the one you want with the mouse to the status bar.
Now that I've tried the newer menu it is growing on me
