Split window / freeze panes feature
Both 2016 and 2018 have a "Freeze" feature, this is useful for if I have headers on the top row, for example. What it doesn't seem to have is "unsynchronized" scrolling for each pane.. e.g. suppose I Freeze both columns and rows, so that I have 4 "panes". In the lower 2...

Other than the ribbon and the default file format....
I was trying the beta, it seems very similar except that it takes up more than 2x the disk space.
I'm looking for compelling reasons to upgrade. Is there a list somewhere with change history or comparison?
