I should have been clearer. When I installed 2018 the 1st time it was correct, it was in English not German. Somewhere along the way after the first start of 2018 the language changed to include German, Arabic and English. I have the 2016 version installed as well as that may be a problem...not sure...

I checked both of the links and have settings as described in the links.
The problem only occurs for one site - Yardbarker.com emails so I will live with it.

When I open the attached email, the icons in various parts of the email do not show. I have attached 2 files: 1. The file that does not show the icons 2. Reinstalling Thunderbird

I uninstalled Thunderbird 52.2.1 which was installed as part of my SoftMaker install.
How can I reinstall just Thunderbird and leave Planmaker etc applications alone.

I received a reply that I should apply a hotfix.

I did apply the fix and it appears to have solved the problem.
I will keep an eye on it to see if it recurs.
