Re: Automatically restore all tabs/documents which were opened when the app was last closed

Hi,

It seems according to the changelog, that this requested feature is not implemented in TextMaker 2018. And the same is about options to handle directly recent file list menu, is it was promised in this topic viewtopic.php?f=249&t=16004. Am I right?

Re: any way to view a regular HTML document with irregular file extension in natural mode, not as a plain text (source c

When I change the file extension of a simple .htm page from .htm to .123, TextMaker cannot longer open it. Well, technically it can, but as a plain text instead of the formatted text, as I have already noticed in my posts above. MS Word still seems to recognize it as a .htm file and opens it. Actua...

Re: documents changes are lost if save the document opened from a read-only protected storage media [bug]

Same when you click the „Save" icon. I wouldn't call this a high-class bug, more a lifesaver for inadvertent users; but I agree that an error message like "Document couldn't be saved, disk is write-protected" would be appropriate here. Does your answer mean, that SoftMaker developer does not regard...

Re: any way to view a regular HTML document with irregular file extension in natural mode, not as a plain text (source c

As far as my knowledge of Windows goes, document types are identified by their file extensions. When you give an HTML file a totally different extension, how shall the application be able to identify this file as an HTML file? Sorry, but it seems, that your knowledge about Windows or/and file types...

Rename? IMHO it is not a relevant answer, sorry. There are some other "solutions" too, for instance, not to use TextMaker for this purpose at all. However I have posted my question in the hope to get any technical relevant advice how to solve the technical problem, not an advice how to change my us...

documents changes are lost if save the document opened from a read-only protected storage media [bug]

The problem is as simple as one-two-three: 1. Open a document from a read-only media (e.g. from a CD-ROM, write-protected USB stick etc) 2. Make any changes in the document. 3. Press Ctrl+S hotkey or [Save] button on the toolbar. 4. Press Ctrl+W hotkey or [Close] button on the toolbar. Yes, that is....

any way to view a regular HTML document with irregular file extension in natural mode, not as a plain text (source code)

TextMaker generally can handle HTML documents and show their content correctly the same way as they are show in some internet browser or other HTML viewer. However it applies to HTML file with the regular extensions (HTML, HTM, XML etc) only . If we take a very regular HTML document in the file mydo...

Re: add or remove one line space before a paragraph (analog for MS Word shortcut Ctrl+0)

I'm a bit confused. When does it add a space If the space before the paragraph is any other than 12 points (including 0 points). when does it remove a space? If there is a space 12 pt before the paragraph. I will refer this as a feature request to our product management. Thanks. What is your person...

Re: add or remove one line space before a paragraph (analog for MS Word shortcut Ctrl+0)

Never heard of it. What does this function effect /what is the purpose? It does a very, very simple thing: it adds/removes/adds/removes 12 points space before the current paragraph (or before every of the selected paragraphs). Simple, but very useful. If you have MS Word installed, you could try it...

add or remove one line space before a paragraph (analog for MS Word shortcut Ctrl+0)

Hi, I could not find in TextMaker any analog for the very useful command " Add or remove one line space before a paragraph " (the default hotkey in MS Word is Ctrl+0 ). That is a bit amazing, because I know from my personal (but not only my own) experience, that this command is one of the most often...

Re: scroll paragraph spaces by 6 points at once (MS Word style)

Personally me consider TextMaker (and MS Word) as a text processor for editing business documents rather than a publishing system. Business documents have usually some more or less regular (boring) layout, with includes the font size 10 - 12 points and paragraph spaces 0 - 6 - 12 - 18 points. I can'...

Re: hotkey to reset paragraph properties to its style defaults (remove all special formatting)

Thanks for that, Martin. I see there's already a default keyboard shortcut for it (Ctrl+Space). Thank you, this is exactly what I asked for. :D When I select several paragraphs with different styles, pressing the hotkey Ctrl+Space removes all manually made changes and restore the original style for...

scroll paragraph spaces by 6 points at once (MS Word style)

Hi, When I use the mouse in order to change the values of the fields " Paragraph spacing: Before " and "Paragraph spacing: After " in the paragraph properties dialog it scrolls by only one point on every pressing. MS Word scrolls values by 6 points at a time in the appropriate dialog (0, 6, 12, 18.....
